Where have all the Ultra Light Aircraft (ULA) smuggling attempts gone?

BorderSecurityBlog is currently doing research on ULA drug smuggling attempts along the southwestern United States border with Mexico. Questions that we would like answered:

Have many interdictions have been made lately by Border Patrol Agents?

Are expensive CBP radars and cameras detecting any more than previously deployed surveillance technology?

Have smugglers given up on ULA's for tunnels or Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) or drones?

What is the average number of smuggling attempts in southern AZ?

More to come.
